Jemima has been fortunate enough to balance her life around two of her greatest passions polo and painting. Making, training and hiring polo ponies over the Summer months and painting through the winter off season. Having completed a number of private commissions for individuals she has also had work commissioned by Chelsea Harbour Design Centre.
In 2011 a relocation to an Estate in South East Dorset to set up a polo club with her husband meant that in order to focus on setting up this new venture and her young family, painting had to be put on hold.
However now, after not inconsiderable pressure from family and friends she has very much enjoyed getting her paintbrushes out again. She is based at the Dorset Polo Club where she lives with her family, and dog, 27 polo ponies and half a dozen guinea fowl.
Painting mainly in Gouache and watercolours as well as acrylic on canvas she draws her inspiration from the world around her. Subjects include British wildlife and horses, as well as also producing larger abstract pieces that are more colour driven.
